Dr. Seuss Reacts to Jim Carrey's Grinch
Since the Immortal Writers have trusted me with their story, William Shakespeare has also entrusted me to post his and other writers' responses to adaptations of their work, fan fiction, and other material. Here is Theodor Geisel's (Dr. Seuss) response to Jim Carrey's interpretation of the Grinch. -Jill

The story was simple, the story was merry,
But then they went and they cast Jim Carrey.
How could you do this to my glorious plot?
The Grinch was so lovely---now, he is not!
All the Whos down in Whoville hate what they've become
From the very old Whos to the quite very young.
I do not like this movie at all.
I'd rather hit my head into a brick wall.
I do not like it here or there.
I do not like it anywhere.
Thank you for trying, you Hollywood folks,
But all I have for you are great big huge NOPES.
So please children, just go read the book---
It's better than the movie, and is worth a look.
